Hi, I’m Ben — a graphic designer and art director with over 18 years of experience helping brands tell their story through bold, purposeful design.
From California to Tennessee
I grew up in California, studied Design and Visual Communications at Pensacola Christian College in Florida, and began my career at the Birdwell Agency. From there, I joined Champion Nutrition in Concord, then moved on to Cutwater, a San Francisco-based agency, where I helped create campaigns for Ray-Ban, Persol, LensCrafters, Jeep, and TaylorMade.
Bridging Worlds
After relocating to Tennessee, I joined Ramsey Solutions, supporting broadcast and live events — including contributing the ‘R’ logo mark still in use today. During those first years in Tennessee, I also partnered with FOG Rally (Ferrari Owners Group) in San Francisco, helping them raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for Make-A-Wish Bay Area. For their annual magazine, Cavallo da Corsa, I designed features on Michelin-star restaurants, luxury travel destinations across California, and rare Ferraris.
Where I Am Now
Later, at Change Healthcare (and post-acquisition, Optum), I contributed to rebranding initiatives, asset management, and creative strategy. Today, I’m an Art Director at Red Thread, creating visual solutions for clients in tech, automotive, and beyond.
Philosophy & Passion
Design isn’t just my job — it’s my craft. I believe great design goes beyond aesthetics to create lasting connections between brands and people. When I’m not working, I’m often behind a camera, capturing details that inspire my next project.
